The Salvation Army Freeport provides essential support services such as shelter, food, clothing, and financial assistance for rent and utilities. Their programs help individuals and families facing homelessness or financial crisis find stability and hope.

Committed to serving those in need, the Freeport location offers both emergency and transitional services.

Shelter space is limited and on a first-come first-served basis.  Individuals seeking shelter should arrive at the shelter by 4:45pm.  Dinner is served at 5pm, followed by an intake process. Each guest must submit to a breathalyzer test each night before admittance. Guests are released at 7am each day.

In order to get a spot in the shelter, an individual needs to be to the shelter by 4:45 p.m. They serve dinner at 5 p.m. and then do intake afterwards. Each guest must submit to a breathalyzer each night before being admitted to the shelter. Guests are released at 7 a.m each day. People can call to check on availability but an opening is not guaranteed. You cannot reserve a spot. It is first come first serve.
